Office Procedures and Policy

Please be aware that our physicians may differ with regard to certain policies, and each welcomes requests for information when necessary.

What are the Office hours?
9am until 5pm (emergency calls only during lunch)

Will I always see the same doctor? (Can I rotate Doctors?)
Each physician sees his/her own patients when available in the office.  You may be seen by the on-call physician when your regular doctor is out for vacation, etc.

What is the schedule of well visits?
Well-visits are scheduled at 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, and 24 months - then yearly thereafter.  Many parents like to keep well visits around the birthday, but purely for convenience.

When are immunizations given?
Immunizations are given at many of the first two years' visits, and again at the 4 year-visit.  Other than seasonal Flu vaccines, there are normally no vaccines at visits between 4 years and 11 years.  Well-visits during these years are used to monitor growth, development, and any chronic issues that your child may have.

Can I call with questions during the day?
Phone calls requesting clinical information cannot be answered by our front-desk staff.  These questions should be left with your physician's nurse.  If she is not available at the time of your call we strive to answer messages as soon as possible.

Do you have separate sick/well waiting rooms?
No.  We try to stay as close to on schedule as possible to avoid contact with sick patients in the waiting room.

Do you have weekend or after hours visits?
We are not open after 5 pm.  Although we have no scheduled office hours on the weekend, our on-call physicians frequently meet families on the weekend mornings when possible for simple sick visits.  This can only be arranged by paging the on-call physician and planning to meet one-on-one.
