Influenza Information

Your child cannot receive the flu vaccine if he/she has an egg allergy.

All patients 6 months and older should be vaccinated.

If your child is 6 months - 8 years old and is receiving the vaccine for the first time, it is recommended that they receive a booster.

The vaccine this year includes both the seasonal flu B and HINI flu A.

Nasal Flumist is okay for children 2 and older who do not have asthma or one or more episodes of wheezing within the past year. It is not recommended for those with nerve disorders, weakened immune systems, or those in close contact with someone whose immune system is weak (i.e. those undergoing chemotherapy).
