Mental Health Awareness During the Holidays

The holiday season can be a tough time for many folks, especially during a year where everyone has been charged with meeting the challenges of the SARS-COVID 19 pandemic. We encourage our patients to let their parents, teachers, or healthcare providers know if they need help, whether they are feeling down or contemplating harming themselves. Parents are encouraged to take their children’s concerns seriously, to listen with empathy, and to provide support. Please know that we at Mount Pleasant Pediatrics care about you and your family’s wellbeing, and we are here to help as needed along these journeys. Here are some other helpful local and national resources for you and for those you love:

You or someone you care about can call the NAMI Helpline at 1-800-950-NAMI M-F, 10 am – 6 pm, ET or in a crisis, text “NAMI” to 741741 for 24/7, confidential, free crisis counseling
